  • Service: We aim for reliability but can’t guarantee no downtime.
  • Liability: If things go wrong, our responsibility is limited to what you’ve paid us in the past 12 months.
  • Ending use: You can stop using TrnscrptAI at any time. We can suspend or close accounts if terms are broken.
  • Law: Governed by England & Wales.

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TrnscrptAI (“we”, “our”, “us”). TrnscrptAI provides a platform for recording live audio from meetings, generating transcripts, and creating summaries (the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use TrnscrptAI.
  • By using the Services, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.

3. Accounts

  • Accounts are created and accessed via a magic link login system — no passwords are used.
  • You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, as this controls access to your TrnscrptAI account.
  • You agree not to share or misuse your login credentials or impersonate another user.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and available plans are shown on our website.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
  • We do not offer refunds except where required by law.

5. Use of the Services

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Misuse the Services or attempt to disrupt their operation.
  • Access data or accounts not intended for you.
  • Upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

6. Meeting Recordings and Consent

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that all meeting participants have given any legally required consent before recording.
  • TrnscrptAI acts as a processor of meeting content and will not use or access it except to provide the Services.
  • We do not monitor or verify whether you have obtained consent.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property in the Services (including software, design, and branding) belongs to TrnscrptAI or our licensors.
  • You retain ownership of the content you record but grant us a limited licence to process it solely for providing the Services.

8. Data Protection

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability

  • We aim to provide continuous access to the Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • We may suspend or limit Services for maintenance, security, or technical reasons.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrnscrptAI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
  • Our total liability for any claims under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

  • You may stop using the Services at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Services unlawfully.
  • Upon termination, your right to access the Services will end, but certain obligations (e.g., outstanding fees, confidentiality) will survive.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
